Surrogacy alternative

Renewal of thickness and functionality of the endometrium

What is endometrium regeneration?

For a successful pregnancy, not only high-quality embryos are needed, but also a healthy and mature woman’s endometrium. It ensures the implantation of the embryo and the beginning of a pregnancy. Asherman’s syndrome, chronic endometritis, polyps, endometrial hypoplasia, uterine synechiae, low endometrial thickness are the most common causes of infertility.

The endometrium is a dynamic, continuously regenerating tissue. And doctors and biotechnologists at Ukrainian cell centers use an innovative and effective treatment for its renewal. As a part of the treatment program, you can use your own or donor cells to renew the endometrium’s thickness and functionality.

Endometrial regeneration with stem cells is a reliable, safe, and effective method of treatment. And therefore it is a great family-building option for women with endometrial-factor infertility. It is their only alternative to gestational surrogacy.

After endometrial regeneration, the program can be continued by natural conception or IVF (in vitro fertilization).

Indications

The treatment is indicated for:

  •  women who have experienced several failed IVF programs due to uterine factor;
  •  women diagnosed with Asherman’s syndrome (to stage III);
  • women diagnosed with female infertility caused by uterine hypoplasia.

What can you expect?

The treatment is based on using native (autologous) or donor mesenchymal stem cells. The potential of our laboratories lets us grow a required quantity of cells in less than a month! In the next cycle (after taking biomaterial), we can perform the endometrial regeneration procedure and help you reach the desired pregnancy using IVF or natural origin.

Ukrainian reproductive centers have a long history of offering exceptionally high & consistent results. Mainly because of individual approach, accurate & timely diagnosis thanks to 45+ years of ongoing research and 30+ years of clinical practices.

At the moment, you can choose from 34 specialized reproductive health centers that follow the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Association of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

FAQ

  • Free consultation with a manager. At this step,  we get to know you and your needs and gather your medical information to confirm the diagnosis.
  • Typically, you need to visit the clinic two-three times during the whole treatment: for the consultation (online or offline), sampling of the endometrial tissue, and the injection. The latter usually takes place on the 21st day after the sampling.
  • Keep calm :-). We are here to help you with all medical and non-medical related arrangements during the whole process.

The material sampling is done by using endometrial biopsy in the proliferative phase of the cycle. It is a painless procedure that lasts less than two hours.

After the biopsy procedure, there will be prepared a therapeutic dose of your stem cells in the clinic’s own laboratory. They will be grown from your own sample and tested before the injection phase. Usually, the production period takes up to 21 days.

The inner lining of the uterus (the endometrium) goes through three phases during the typically 28 day menstrual cycle: the menstrual phase (days 1-5), the proliferative phase (days 6-14) and the secretory phase (days 15-28)

Your doctor will return your own propagated and tested stem cells back to the uterus. This stimulates the regeneration process. The procedure is painless and takes up to 2 hours.

If there are no other causes of infertility in both partners, your pregnancy can occur in one cycle naturally or as a result of IVF, even with the experience of previous unsuccessful attempts. You can choose the IVF program at our partner clinic without changing the reproductive doctor.

No, it can’t. It’s a scientifically proven fact that this type of stem cell doesn’t have the potential for transformation into tumors. It is important to understand that your own stem cells are an integral part of you. They “repair” your endometrium on a daily basis — this is a natural process. We only increase the regeneration capacity.

Unfortunately, no. The use of endometrial stem cells can stimulate the endometrium to grow and function in a situation where the endometrium does not grow and does not perform its functions. Thus, endometriosis is a disease characterized by an excess of the endometrium.
